How to handle damaged laminate floors

Laminate flooring can swell or swell when humidity changes, causing the board to expand. First, check to see if the expansion joint close to the wall is wide enough for the board to move.

Prepare chisels, hammers and multi-purpose cutters. An extra board can also help determine where the floor has been raised.

  • Place an extra board or bar across the floor to identify the overhanging board. Check which wall the panel moves towards to know where to remove the wool.
  • Use a hammer and chisel to remove wall skirting. Place the chisel blade between the wall and the wool rod and tap gently to separate the wool.
  • As soon as you remove the edge board, you will see which one is too close to the wall. Take a pencil and a thin wooden stick. Draw a saw line on the bulging board. Your saw cut should be as high as the boards next to the misplaced board.
  • Use a multi-tool to saw along the line you just drew, then remove the piece of wood.

Check if the floor is level again. perfects laminate floors again with bulletin board.
