Can Quick-Step laminate flooring be glued directly to the floor?
Laminate flooring can be glued to the floor, but Quick-Step recommends surface installation. Direct gluing will void the warranty, except in cases where gluing is allowed for stair treads.
If applied by gluing, the substrate must be completely flat and moisture resistant. Leveling material, a suitable moisture barrier, and a primer may be needed to help the glue adhere to the underside of the board.
Why do you want to use full-surface adhesive?
Hot water under the floor
If true Quick-Step liner is used, which combines underfloor heating with a floating installation without any problems at all. Check the installation instructions for more information.
Acoustic Isolation Review
You need to distinguish between transmitted sound and reflected sound. Transmitted sound can only be reduced with a floating setting. Sticking down the floor covering will improve soundproofing.
Sound reflections can actually be reduced with the full surface method. But Quick-Step also has the ideal solution for this: high-quality Quick-Tep lining. These allow you to combine the benefits of a floating floor with soundproofing.
