How to lay underlayment for laminate floors
Underlayment helps reduce sound transmission, block moisture from the substrate and compensate for small rough spots.
Use a knife to cut the lining according to the room size.
How to spread the lining
- Spread the lining along the length of the room. Leave the edge slightly protruding close to the wall for ease of construction and to help block moisture from below.
- Use a knife to cut off the excess. Don't panic if you accidentally cut into the wall. Later there will be a side board to cover it. Follow the line of the wall and press firmly.
Remember that the lining needs to be as smooth as possible. Therefore, never put two layers on top of each other: otherwise, the lining will be uneven. Immediately use a laminate board to secure the first layer of lining and tile it towards the wall.
