How to cut laminate flooring around heating pipes
To cut the board around the heating pipe, prepare a knife, pencil, tape measure, silicone pump gun and jig saw or flat drill bit.
- Spread and cut the lining around the tube first. Fill the gaps in the lining and secure with tape.
- Place the board close to the pipe. Use a straight bar to mark the distance from the center of the pipe to the wall. This part of the board will lie close to the wall, behind the pipe. Saw along the line just marked.
- Match the short plate with the long plate located on the other side of the pipe. Mark the pipe location on both plates and then drill according to those marks. You can use a piece of leftover board to mark the saw line.
- Take out the small board and start sawing the large board. Cut out half the pipe diameter where you pulled the reference point. better too big than too small. the golden rule is your pipe diameter plus sixty millimeters – just like with other expansion blanks.
- Now do the same with the smaller piece. To keep the piece from moving, click on the longer card and fasten it to the third card.
- Saw the remaining part around the pipe position and then remove the two panels. Bring the long plate close to the radiator pipe, then join it with the short plate.
